 | | HomePlace Structures has engineered drawings available upon request for many of its larger structures, including gazebos, garden buildings, and garages. These drawings are used to confirm standard assembly methods, and are a great reference source for customers, installers, and permitting authorities. Although they are not needed for all locations, permitting authorities at some locations will insist on reviewing these types of documents. For some locations, a signed, sealed, site-specific drawing will need to be produced. For example, you may be required to prove that your gazebo can handle wind speeds up to 140 mph. Special modifications can be made, and drawings presented to confirm the engineering related to those changes. The engineered “shop” drawings -- plans drawn depicting the standard configuration for the products -- are available to our customers for free. Special charges apply to produce stamped sealed engineered drawings. The drawings will build your confidence that our gazebo, garden building, or garage has been well designed, and is a great product to select. It is not possible, however, for us to know specific local building requirements at locations across the country. There may be local requirements that you need to conform to, that could require changes to the standard design of our structures. Drawings can be a great resource to identify those before you receive your product.
